I'm looking for plants that can actually grow in just about 4 cm of soil and don't require a lot of sunlight. I was considering moss, but it seems like it needs a humid environment, which might not work for me. Imagine I have a little wooden box without a roof and up against a window that gets minimal light. What are some plant options that could thrive in these conditions?

If you're considering something to hang up, a mounted staghorn fern could be your best bet! They don’t need much light, and you can attach them easily with some wire or eye hooks. Plus, you can cover the base with moss to keep moisture in. Just remember, they like humidity!

I'm actually looking for smaller plants too. Something that stays fairly low would be better than just one big fern.
