I'm trying to figure out which hybrid heat pump brands are worth considering. Specifically, how do American Standard, Bradford, and Rheem compare against each other in terms of quality and performance?

I can speak to a few brands here. Bradford White is solid; I have an AO Smith that I've been happy with, great reliability. Rheem is everywhere and easy to find, but I haven't tried American Standard myself. It seems like a decent option too. Just make sure whatever you choose is installed correctly!
When it comes to hybrid heat pumps, the brand is less critical than you might think. What really matters is that you have a well-designed system and that a qualified contractor handles the installation. Some brands have faced quality issues in the past, but most of those have been worked out. It's also worth noting that certain brands might interact differently depending on available rebates or incentives in your area, so that's something to keep in mind!
