What are the best methods to unclog a bathroom sink without using harsh chemicals?

I've been struggling with a clogged bathroom sink and I've tried using baking soda and vinegar, but that didn't do the trick. I'm really not interested in using Drano or crawling under the sink to clean out the mess myself—I did that once and I'd like to avoid it again. Any suggestions?

If DIY is your style, consider using a plunger first. It often works wonders for minor clogs. If that doesn’t help, look into getting a drain snake; they're super handy for pulling out hair and gunk.

So do I need a specific sink plunger or can I use the same one I have for the toilet?

Most sink plungers are a bit different, but you can try your toilet plunger first if it's rubbery enough! It might just do the trick.

It sounds like the blockage might be a mix of hair, toothpaste, and soap. Although cleaning the trap can be a pain, it might save you the cost of a plumber. Grab some nitrile gloves, a bucket, and some air fresheners to make the job easier!

I once tried using long snakes from Amazon on my clogged sink, and it worked great! Just pull out the hair and follow up with hot water and a plunger. It kept my sink clear for months after that!
