How Can a Thin Wedge Remove a Thick Wedge?

I came across a quote in a book that says a skilled builder can use a thin wedge to get a thicker one out. I'm really struggling to understand how this works, and I can't seem to find any images or videos that illustrate this concept. Can anyone explain what's going on here or share a visual example?

Think of it this way: when a thick wedge is stuck really tight, a thinner wedge can often be used to push it out. It can create more space around the thick wedge so it can slip out more easily. If you're looking for a visual, there are some videos that show how this kind of mechanical advantage works, but the concept is pretty much about leverage and pressure. Let me know if you'd like links to some examples!

That makes so much sense now! I appreciate the explanation. I'll keep an eye out for those videos.
