Best Indoor Edible Plants for Beginners?

I'm looking to add some plants to my room and would prefer ones that can thrive indoors since my condo only has minimal sunlight through a window. If possible, I'd like to grow some edible varieties. Any suggestions?

You might also enjoy growing lemon balm! It's great for making tea and adds a nice touch to your indoor garden.

Microgreens are awesome! I particularly like the black sunflower seeds; they're dense and grow quickly, usually ready in about a week and a half, but they need some sunlight as they mature.

I bought a ZZ plant for my office, and it's been amazing! It's super low maintenance and doesn't need a lot of light, making it perfect for indoor settings.

If you're into greens, I highly recommend starting with some lettuce varieties, like Grand Rapids lettuce, it’s super easy! Herbs are also a great option—parsley, sage, thyme, and oregano grow well indoors too.

I kicked things off with an indoor shelf and added a grow light. Microgreens and lettuce are fantastic first plants—they're quick to grow and give you a great start! ?

Thanks for the tip on microgreens! How long do they usually take to grow?
