Hey everyone! I used to work with a dual battery (and cord) miter saw, the DHS790AT2, but unfortunately, it got stolen after serving me well for a few years. Now I'm seeing a new model that only supports a single battery setup, and that's pretty much all I can find. I can't help but wonder how it stacks up against the older dual battery model. I know technology keeps improving, but I feel like two battery inputs must be better than one, even if it's two 6Ah batteries versus one 12Ah battery. Plus, I really loved the option of running it on batteries or plugged in. Has anyone used the new model and compared it to the older one? What do you think? I've spotted some niche tool websites selling the old DHS790AT2 with all the accessories for about a grand, but I haven't seen it in any big box stores.

I’ve noticed that those dual battery saws, especially with adapters, tend to have issues with motor burnout. The bigger voltage from those batteries actually provides more power than what you'd get from the wall, so that’s something to think about. As for the newer models, the FlexVolt saws seem to perform really well!

Just to clarify, are you saying it was the adapter that was burning out the motor, or was it just a characteristic of that model? I used to run mine through a radio when it was corded, that thing worked as a great surge protector!
