Can I Freeze Whole Ripe Tomatoes?

I've got these Roma tomatoes that are ripening at different times. Is it a good idea to freeze the fully ripe ones whole while waiting for the rest to ripen so I can make sauce later?

Yes, you can definitely freeze whole ripe tomatoes! Just keep in mind that their texture won't be the same once thawed, so they're best for making sauces, soups, or salsas once you use them. Make sure to remove the cores and put them in zippered freezer bags. When you're ready to use them, just let them thaw in the fridge overnight and the skins should come off easily.

I'm planning to make marinara or bolognese, so texture isn’t an issue, but I care about the taste!
