Best Gift Card Options for Woodworking Projects?

Hey everyone! I'm looking for some advice on a birthday gift for my partner. She's getting into woodworking and I want to get her a gift card to buy wood for her projects. She has access to a woodworking studio but doesn't have a car, which makes it hard to get wood from a lumber yard. I was thinking about a Rockler gift card since they offer delivery, but I've heard mixed reviews about their pricing. I was considering a $300 card, but I'm worried that might not go far at Rockler. Can she actually get several projects worth of wood with that amount, or will it just cover the cost of one small item? She likes making cutting boards, jewelry boxes, and small bookshelves. Thanks for your input!

Rockler can definitely be pricey, and while $300 might get her a few projects, you're probably overspending compared to other options. If she's into tools, that could be a better use of the gift card. You might also check out KenCraft Company; they have good quality wood at better prices, although I’m not sure if they offer gift cards. If all else fails, a Visa gift card would work too, letting her pick what she needs!

Consider checking out Facebook Marketplace for wood! Prices are much cheaper compared to Rockler and Woodcraft, where they tend to overcharge. Plus, you can often find great deals locally!

Another option is CR Muterspaw in Ohio. They have good prices and, although not sure about gift cards, their shipping might be worth looking into. Just keep in mind that shipping costs could add up.
