I'm moving into a new one-story house, and I've got a standard window above the shower/tub in the primary bathroom. The issue is that right behind my house, there's a two-story building with a bedroom that has a clear view into my bathroom. It's not a big deal while I'm showering, but once I'm out, they can see everything—especially with the toilet just a few feet away! I prefer to keep the window open for airflow since my current bathroom doesn't have a fan, but I can't wall it up or use a film since it would defeat the purpose of keeping it open. I was considering an awning but scrapped that idea. Any creative suggestions?

Have you thought about using a second pressure-fit curtain rod? You could hang a translucent shower curtain close to the window. It lets in natural light while giving you the privacy you need. Plus, you can cut it to just the right length to cover the window sill perfectly!

That’s a good idea, but I think my partner would absolutely hate it. We both want our bathroom to look nice, and I’m not sure a shower curtain would do the trick aesthetic-wise.
