Is This White Box an Under-Sink Water Filter?

Hey everyone! I'm looking to install an under-sink water filter and I need to replace my instant hot faucet as well. I've found a white box in the corner under my sink, and I'm trying to determine if it's a water filter. If it is, can I just turn off the hot water to the faucet and get filtered water? Here's a link to a picture of it: [imgur.com](https://imgur.com/zX3By8Y). Thanks for your help!

That white box definitely looks like a point-of-use electric water heater instead of a water filter. Can you check the front where the knob is? It might help to know where the water lines are going too.

I agree, looks like a heating unit. Check for any outlets around it!
