I just caulked the joint between the tiles and the cornice in my ensuite. I did it mainly to cover up the cracks where old paint was peeling. How long should I wait before I can safely take a shower? Is it okay to shower sooner since it will just be steam?

If the caulk isn’t getting wet right away, you should be good to shower! Just avoid splashing for a bit and it should hold up fine.
Check the caulk tube for specific instructions. They usually say wait 1-2 days for best results. It might be touch dry in 10 minutes, but practice caution!
