Is $700 a Fair Price for Garage Door Repair?

I've got a single car aluminum garage door with insulation that needs some serious love. It's going to need new springs and cables, plus I've got to set up new remotes and the keypad again—luckily that's just a 9-volt battery fix. I'm definitely not tackling those springs myself, though! I received a quote for $700, but I keep seeing all these sources saying that might be on the higher side. What do you all think?

It's always a good move to get at least three quotes to understand what the average price should be. That's like a golden rule for home repairs! You’ll be surprised at how much prices can vary.

Totally get that! I had a similar experience with plumbing where two really young plumbers came and quoted me $1500 just to gut and reinstall everything. I ended up finding a more experienced plumber who fixed my leaks for just $120. Always good to shop around!
