Is Leaf Filter Worth the Price or Just a Scam?

I recently had Leaf Filter come to my house because my gutters have been clogging up. They quoted me over $7,000 at first, but then supposedly found some discounts that brought it down to $5,200. After a few calls, they claimed to have a commercial deal with leftover materials that dropped the price to $2,600, but I had to decide on the spot. This whole process feels really sketchy to me. How can a price drop by $5,000 just like that? Also, these estimates were just for cleaning and installing screens, not a full gutter replacement. What are people's thoughts on this?

Depending on how many feet of gutters you've got, $2,600 could be reasonable, but honestly, based on their initial quote, it feels like a ripoff. Plus, if you have a lot of trees around, those gutters might still clog anyway. Financing might just end up costing you way more in the long run. Have you considered tackling this yourself? You can buy gutter guards at Home Depot for a fraction of that price and install them without needing any major tools. It's pretty straightforward!

Yeah, Leaf Filter has a reputation for being pushy with their sales tactics. They tried to hit me with an outrageous quote of $14,000 once, and after I refused, it dropped to $7,000 with all these 'special deals.' I ended up getting a local company to do it for $1,100. Definitely get more quotes! Don’t fall for the pressure tactics; you'll save a ton this way.

Honestly, that price seems way out of line, even considering their 'discounts.' I'd recommend reaching out to a local gutter company for another quote just to compare. Sometimes these large companies hike up their prices to high heaven to give you that illusion of savings later.
