How to Fix Gaps Between Baseboards?

I have some inconsistent gaps between my baseboards, and I occasionally see bugs coming in. I'm looking for the best way to fix these gaps. Should I go for adding molding or using caulk? Here's a picture for reference: https://imgur.com/a/M455Kg9.

Shoe molding is a great option for this! It’s flexible and can adjust to uneven floors better than 1/4 round. If the baseboards look generally fine otherwise, you might consider just leaving the gaps as is. It might be more effective to target pest control measures on the outside of your house.

Got it! If I do end up with gaps under the shoe molding, I'll just use 'shoe shoe molding' for extra coverage.

Thanks for the tips! I'll focus on pest control outside first and see if that resolves the issue.

First, handle the bug situation, and then you might consider 1/4 round for the gaps. If it seems like the bugs are coming from around the windows, it’s probably a good idea to caulk those gaps first. Just make sure everything is sealed up properly!

Yeah, I think the only spot they might be sneaking in is from some unsealed windows. I’ll get on that!
