How Can I Ventilate My Windowless Office Using the Door Gap?

Hey everyone! I have a small office that doesn't have any windows, and I usually need to keep the door closed. I'm looking for a way to bring in some fresh air through the gap at the bottom of the door. There's a fairly large gap, and I was thinking about using a small vent hose for this purpose. Is this something that's feasible, and are there any portable kits available for such a setup? Just to clarify, I can't modify the door or walls, so a full door vent installation isn't an option for me. Air purifiers won't cut it since they only filter air and don't bring in fresh oxygen.

One option you could consider is installing a louvered vent between rooms for better air circulation. Remember, you'll need air to flow in from somewhere and also have space for it to exit, especially since you’re keeping the door closed most of the time. You might need something like a vented hose system to ideally bring fresh air in through that gap.

Thanks for the suggestion! I actually can’t install any vents since I can't modify the door or walls at all. I should have been clearer; I meant a vent hose that would go under the door to facilitate air in and out. I'm not too familiar with the right terms, but I ruled out permanent air vents.

Have you heard of an HRV (Heat Recovery Ventilator)? It’s designed for ventilation in spaces like yours. You can look it up to see if you can create a DIY version that’s portable. That might give you a good idea of how to introduce fresh air without needing to modify anything in your office.
