I just got my hands on two gorgeous dahlias from the Southport flower show! They're looking fabulous in their pots, but I'm unsure if I should keep them in the pots or plant them directly in the garden this year. What's the best way to take care of them? Any advice would be great!

Congrats on your new dahlias! They're super beautiful but keep in mind they're not very hardy. You can definitely plant them in the garden, but make sure they get full sun and be ready to water them a lot, especially during this weather. Also, it’s a good idea to look up how to overwinter the tubers so they’re safe during the colder months.
I planted my dahlias last year and left them in the ground without any cover, and they actually did great! I have about ten of them now and have even moved some around. They’re tougher than you might think, so if you don't get particularly harsh winters, you might be fine!
