Why is my AC dripping water and how can I fix it without moving it?

I've had my indoor window AC unit for years, and suddenly it's started dripping water all over the floor. I can't seem to identify the source of the problem. I'm unable to take it to a mechanic, locate a drain pipe, or set up anything to catch the water since it's right next to my bed and I can't move it. Is there a practical solution I can implement from my room?

Definitely check the channel that guides the water outside. If that’s blocked, you might need to clear it to solve the dripping issue. Just be careful while trying to access it since you don’t want to break anything!

If the typical drainage route is blocked, you might need to find a way to access the area where the AC is supposed to expel water. Some units have a removable casing—if you can do that, check for clogs there. It's all about getting that water back outside! If you have the model number, looking for a manual online can also really help.

It sounds like the drain hole on your AC might be clogged. You should try to locate it and clear any blockage. This should stop the water from dripping inside and make your AC work properly again. Good luck!
