I'm having some trouble with my curtain rods—they keep falling down, and I'm not sure how to properly reinforce the brackets to stop this from happening. I've also noticed the paint is chipping around them. Any tips would be appreciated! Here's a link to some pictures for reference.

It sounds like the screws for your curtain brackets might be loose, probably because they aren't secured into a stud or an appropriate anchor. If that’s the case, you'll want to take those brackets down and use some wall anchors to give the screws a stronger hold. Check out this video on drywall anchors for more info!
I just added some pictures of my setup. Do you have any advice on how to locate studs effectively?
If you're struggling to find a stud, there are some great options for wall anchors that you can use instead. This guide outlines the different types of anchors available and how to use them. Good luck with your curtain rods!

Just a heads up, I avoid using drywall anchors for curtain rods. I prefer securing them directly to studs using strong rods since I've got kids—you never know when they'll try to swing from the curtains!
