I recently set up a 10x10 foot shade sail in my backyard, attaching two corners to my house and the other two to 4x4 posts set in 5-gallon buckets filled with concrete. These buckets are inside lightweight planters on a concrete patio, which are filled with river rocks to keep them stable. Unfortunately, the wind toppled them over just a week after installation. I'm looking for suggestions on how to securely anchor these concrete-filled buckets to the patio while still allowing them to sit inside the planters for aesthetics. Ideally, I want a sturdy yet removable solution. Any ideas?

A sturdy yet removable solution might be tricky, but I suggest using long bolts that go into sleeves anchored into the concrete. This way, you could remove the posts when needed without losing stability. Just make sure the sleeves are well set!
