What PPE Do I Need for Applying Spar Urethane on Patio Furniture?

I'm planning to sand down and apply spar urethane to my patio furniture and have a few questions. Is wearing just an N95 mask sufficient for this kind of work? Also, do I need to place a drop cloth under the furniture while I work? I'm concerned that if I spill, the oil-based polyurethane might stain my concrete patio. I'm assuming a drop cloth is a good idea, right?

It's a good call to use a chemical stripper and a scraper to get rid of any old spar urethane first since sanding can be a hassle; it really clogs up your sandpaper fast. And yes, definitely lay down a drop cloth to protect your concrete floor—trust me, you don't want any stains.

Thanks for the advice! I was a bit worried about the sanding part since the furniture is looking a little rough already. Mostly, I'm just trying to smooth it out enough for the urethane to soak in. Any suggestions on what kind of scraper to use? I’m new to woodworking, so I could really use some help!
