Thinking of getting two Festool vacuums – which size is best?

Hey everyone! My friend is getting rid of two Festool HEPA vacuums and is offering them to me as payment for helping him out with a woodworking job. He already picked up a CT MIDI and wants to know what size to get for the second one since I get both vacuums. If you had the chance to snag two Festool dust extractors, what size would you recommend for the second one?

I went with the CT15 since I didn’t need the Bluetooth feature and it's been a champ for sanding and pocket holes. It might be worth considering if you think you don’t need the extra features of the bigger models.

If you’re planning on doing any drywall or concrete work in the future, a model with Auto Clean could really come in handy. Just a thought!

If you're getting two, I'd suggest the CT 26. It's a sweet spot in terms of power and size – not too big or bulky. Having the MIDI and a 26 would cover most of your needs, whether you’re using them with tools or for cleaning up the shop. It's also handy to have a vacuum near your miter saw and another one for smaller tools.

Sounds like a solid idea! I just scored a cheap 2hp dust collector to help with floor clean-up, but I think the 26 is definitely a good choice for my setup.

You might want to think about what resale value you’d get if you decide to sell one later. Festools tend to hold their value pretty well, so it could be worth it in the long run!

Definitely planning to keep at least one for my own use. Just weighing the benefits of keeping both or going for something larger.
