Do I really need tar paper and drip edge for a kids playhouse roof?

I'm building an outdoor playhouse for kids, measuring 6x8 feet with 5-foot walls. My plan is to cover the roof with plywood and then put shingles on top. Before I proceed, I wanted to ask: is it worth skipping the drip edge and underlayment (tar paper) since it's just a playhouse and not a structure with valuables? Would not using those materials cause significant water damage or leaks? Thanks!

Honestly, I'd recommend using tar paper and a drip edge. Even if it’s just a playhouse, if you want it to last, these materials can help prevent leaks later on. Plus, if the kids outgrow it, having it in good condition could help if you ever decide to sell it.”,
