I've been struggling with mice in my attic and I've already tried installing poison bars, but they haven't worked. I'm looking for effective methods to get rid of them for good. Any tips or tricks that have worked for you?

It’s all about a combination of methods! Start by figuring out how they're getting in and close those gaps. Make sure to remove any food sources too; my wife's bird feeders attracted a bunch! Using multiple types of traps at once significantly boosts your chances of getting them.

Exactly! I also put traps in different areas and kept switching them around. It’s like playing cat and mouse, but with a plan!

I've had great success using old-school snap traps baited with peanut butter. In fact, I've caught over 20 mice this way! Just be ready, because they can always seem to come back with more friends. If you're going for traps, I'd recommend the Victor PowerKill traps—they're super effective and very humane, despite being a bit messy sometimes.

Totally agree with you! Those Victor traps are awesome. They have a great success rate and are much easier to deal with. Just make sure to check them frequently for any catches.

You might want to consider using live traps if you're not keen on kill traps. But, a key part of success is to first seal up any holes or entry points you can find. I used copper mesh to block them and it worked wonders! Plus, using traps inside after sealing is crucial.
