Can I Set Up a Small Solar System in My Room?

Hey everyone! I'm curious about the possibility of installing a small solar system in my rented flat. I have a window that seems big enough for a solar panel. My goal is to power my PC and a couple of monitors since I spend a lot of time gaming and working in my room. Is this something I can realistically do? Any insights would be appreciated!

While it's technically possible to set up solar panels in a room, it's important to manage your expectations. A panel may only give you about 200W under perfect conditions, which can drop significantly on cloudy days or when it rains. Plus, if you're placing them behind a window, you could lose around 75% of the power due to the glass. So, you might end up with just enough power to charge your phone, but probably not much more than that!

Honestly, you might want to think twice before investing in a solar setup in your room. The energy output just wouldn't be enough to support your PC and monitors for gaming. Unless you really want to experiment for fun, it might not be worth the effort!

Thanks for your feedback! I appreciate the heads-up on the actual power output.
