I'm in Zone 8a and planted some cabbages last fall. They haven't formed heads and haven't grown much, even though they're still alive and look okay. They've dealt with some cold temperatures, so I'm wondering if it's time to just rip them out or if I should give them more time to see if they start growing.

If you planted winter varieties at the right time, there's still a chance they could develop heads, so don't be too quick to pull them up! Maybe give them a little more time and see how they do as the weather warms up.

One is a savoy, but I’m unsure about the other type. I think I’ll leave them in for now and focus on other garden projects to see what happens!
