I'm totally new to gardening, so bear with me! I want to buy a juniper plant as a gift for my friend who just named their baby Juniper. However, I'm concerned about how easy it is to maintain, as I don't want to give them something too high-maintenance. Also, they don't have a large garden, so would a juniper do well in a large pot?

Consider getting a bonsai juniper! They can thrive in pots, but be careful—the maintenance level for bonsais is quite high. If your friend isn't experienced, it might be something better to avoid. A regular juniper in a pot could be a great choice without the fuss.
Junipers are pretty manageable! They’re a bit like conifers, so with some yearly trimming and regular watering, they should stay nice and compact for your friend.

Totally agree! Bonsais can be tricky. Unless your friend is really into plants, a standard juniper in a pot is a much better gift!
