Can I Surface Mount a Privacy Fence on Concrete?

I'm thinking about surface mounting a privacy fence on an existing concrete slab. Is that a feasible option? I'm exploring both wood and vinyl materials for this, and the space I have is about 10 feet long. I'm also considering whether two 5-foot swinging gates might be a better choice.

Yes, you can definitely use chain link posts with bolt-down bases for mounting your fence. If you're set on wood or vinyl, you can find special brackets to attach the wood panels to those posts. Check out these links for post anchors and brackets: [post anchors]

You’ll want to check if your concrete pad can handle the wind load for the fence. Have you looked into getting concrete post anchors? They offer a really solid way to secure the posts without too much hassle. Just do a quick search for 'concrete post anchor' to find some good options!

The pad is 10ftx50ft and 4 inches thick, so it should be fine. Thanks for the tip!

What kind of surface mounting are you thinking? Also, how comfortable are you with drilling into the concrete?

If I already have concrete below, what other options do I have?
