Hey everyone! I've been looking into applying Osmo Polyx to plywood and noticed that some folks use polishers for flooring. I'm curious if anyone has tried using a sanding machine to apply it on larger surfaces like plywood sheets. Would it work if I just cut a piece of white Scotch pad to put between my sander and the wood? Any tips would be greatly appreciated!

I usually go with white Scotch pads for applying finishes, or sometimes even a piece of an old t-shirt works well too. Both methods are pretty efficient for getting that smooth application on plywood!
I've actually applied Osmo Polyx with an old credit card on larger areas to spread it evenly before wiping off the excess. I find using Scotch Brite pads can be a bit overkill and wasteful for the product. For smaller pieces, I prefer using blue shop towels or cotton rags instead. They do a great job without wasting as much Polyx!
Good point! I'll have to try the rag method next time.

I hear you! Just curious, when you say Scotch Brite is a waste, do you mean it's a waste of the actual Polyx or just not effective?
