Hey folks, I'm dealing with pretty severe colorblindness and could really use your advice. I want to paint my living room with Sherwin Williams' 22Let It Rain22 gray, and I'm planning to pair it with gray carpet (a slightly darker shade without any tints), plus white trims and doors.
I'm unsure if I should paint the nearby bedrooms, bathroom, and kitchen in similar colors. Ideally, I'd like something that pulls everything together and matches our carpet, along with the white trim. My girlfriend is leaning towards a green color for her office, which is one of those bedrooms near the living room.
The kitchen is a bit tricky because we have white Formica counters that we won't be changing for a while, and we're thinking of painting the cupboards white too. I'm worried that would all look too plain together with the white trim. So, I know the kitchen has to be different, but what colors would fit? Could we use 22Let It Rain22 for the cupboards and go for another color on the walls? Also, what color would work best for the kitchen wall considering we're going with dark wood luxury vinyl plank flooring? I'll share pictures of the kitchen and colors in the comments if needed.
I'm really counting on your help here since I struggle to identify colors and match them!

You might want to think about getting some help from an interior designer! It’s all a matter of personal taste, but just a heads up, going all gray with white trim can come off quite dull in certain settings. Seriously, the standard neutral look often ends up bland and lifeless. Just saying!

I get where you're coming from, but honestly, I really like that kind of design because it seems stylish to me!
