Why is Milwaukee Still Using Micro-USB on Their Rechargeable Lights?

I've been wondering why Milwaukee continues to use micro-USB connectors on their rechargeable lights when so many other brands, including cheaper options, have switched to USB-C. I reached out to Milwaukee on Instagram, but their response felt like just a generic copy-paste. It's frustrating since I can find a USB-C light for just $10, yet Milwaukee's lights, which are priced over $150, still rely on micro-USB. Does anyone know why this is the case, or have any insights on whether Milwaukee plans to update their models?

I feel you on this! I've been looking at the Ryobi lights because they’ve switched to USB-C. It’s about time more brands make the switch. Micro-USB just feels so outdated now, especially when you see newer tech around.

Actually, some of their newer lights are coming with USB-C. I know the 2000 model has it, while my older 500 still uses micro-USB. It seems like they may be slowly updating their lineup, just not everywhere yet.

Good to know! I wasn’t aware they had started updating models. Maybe it's just taking time to reach all markets.
