Advice Needed for Rethinking My Tool Set

Hey everyone! I'm an older guy getting back into a hands-on job after a long time away from it. In my toolbox's heyday, I had plenty of pneumatic tools like impact wrenches and ratchets, but I've missed out on the whole battery-powered scene. Now, I need to restock my toolbox. I'll primarily be working on removing and refitting wheels on cars and trucks, so I'm looking for a solid "all-rounder" ratchet. I'm on a budget, but I also need an impact wrench, a ratchet, and a drill. Any suggestions?

Make sure to keep an eye out for sales at places like Home Depot where you can snag discounts up to 30-40%! It’s definitely worth it, especially since M12 tools are pretty easy on the hands for older users like us.

Ah, I should've mentioned that I’m in Australia. We don’t have Home Depot here, and definitely not the kind of deals you guys find!

For an impact wrench, check out the Milwaukee models 2562-20 or 2563-20, depending on whether you need a 3/8" or 1/2" drive. They both deliver 550 ft-lbs of torque and work with M12 batteries. For a ratchet, the 2557-20 in 3/8" drive is great, using the same M12 batteries. And for a drill, I recommend the 3404-20, a half-inch hammer drill. It's part of the M12 line too, which keeps things consistent, but M18 options are also available if you need a more powerful drill. Lots of compact choices exist too if you won’t be drilling into concrete.

I’ve been doing some research, and I noticed that the M12 stubby wrenches seem to pack more torque than the M18 versions. Am I missing something here?
