Hey everyone! I'm looking to transition my large yard into a no-mow space by planting pollinator-friendly plants. I have bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds visiting regularly. Given the hot Florida climate, I'm curious to know which plants you've had success with. Any recommendations?

You might want to check out the r/nativeplantgardening subreddit for more advice tailored to your area. Folks there have tons of helpful suggestions!
While I'm not sure what's specifically available in Florida, a good start would be to check with your local land-grant University Extension Office. If you search for "[your county] Master Gardener Extension" online, you should find information on plants that thrive in your area.
I’ve heard that even though there might not be many grants for replacing lawns in Florida right now, it's still worth investigating. You might also want to look into local chapters of Wild Ones for great native plants. I've picked up a lot of my native plants from local sales and fundraising events. Once these natives are settled in, they’re usually easy to propagate and share, which can save you some money too! And definitely consider planting native milkweed—it's fantastic for local wildlife!

Absolutely, natives are a perfect choice! This Florida sun can be tough, but with the right plants, they thrive!
