Hey everyone! I recently installed a new Kohler kitchen faucet and I've noticed that the water from it has a clay-like smell when I first turn it on, both for hot and cold. I'm using city water with a whole house filtration system. This smell goes away after running the water for a minute, but then it comes back the next time I use it. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing it?

This sounds tricky! Did you use any thread sealer on the connections? That could definitely lead to an odor like that. If it keeps happening, you might want to consider swapping the faucet for a new one to see if the problem persists. It’s best to tackle it sooner rather than later.
Have you noticed any discoloration when you first turn on the faucet? Also, did you add any new piping during the installation? Sometimes issues like this can stem from changes in plumbing.
