Hey folks! I've been reading a lot about how it's not recommended to use mill finish aluminum for flashing against Hardie Plank due to potential corrosion and bleed-through issues. The problem is, I can't find any rolled galvanized steel or coated aluminum at my local big box stores like Home Depot or Lowe's. I'm wondering where you all get your compliant flashing? Or do you just go ahead and use mill finish aluminum anyway? Oh, and just to note, I'm using stainless Simpson Strong-Tie screws, which makes me think galvanized steel might not be safe either because of possible cathodic corrosion. Any thoughts?

Have you checked online for painted aluminum roll flashing? It can be a hassle to find locally, but that might be your best bet. It’s definitely annoying when those materials aren't stocked, especially for an important project like this.
I went with Bear Skin Joint Flash Sheets but also played around with cutting flashing tape to fit at the joints. Depending on your setup, that could work too! If you're worried about water, a simple solution might be to add a layer of cheap 30# tarred felt directly to your studs – it could serve as a decent water barrier.
