Hey everyone,
I'm planning to buy a cherry blossom tree and would love some recommendations, especially since I'm in the UK (London area, if that helps). I'm hoping for a few specifics:
- I'd like it to be able to grow in a big pot in my garden, which faces southeast.
- It would be great if it flowers right away, rather than taking years to bloom.
- While fruit isn't a priority for me, I don't mind if it can bear some. My main focus is on the beautiful flowers.
Has anyone got tips or suggestions for trees that I should consider? Thanks!

Make sure you check out local nurseries as well; they often have great options. The 'Higan' cherry is also a lovely choice, known for its beautiful blooms and hardiness!
If you're up for a dwarf variety, I highly recommend the 'Kojo no Mai' cherry blossom. I found it on discount at an online nursery, and it's perfect for pots!

Came here to say this! Also, you might want to check out 'Prunus tenella'—it's technically an almond, but I absolutely love it!
