Hey everyone! I have a quick question that's sort of about gardening and physics. When I use Tomorite or any liquid fertilizer in my watering can, it feels like most of it just drains right through the pots and gets wasted. I've got a nice loamy compost mix, so it's not too dry or anything. I'm wondering, do pots actually retain a good amount of the fertilizer, or does it all just end up flowing out? Any advice would be appreciated!

Have you thought about using a saucer or plate under your pots? It can really help catch excess water!

I never really saw the point, since the roots aren't that deep yet. But now I'm starting to wonder if I've been missing out!
