Hey everyone, I'm new to all of this! I'm moving into a house that has a small paved patio but no garden space. I'd love to start growing my own salads, like lettuce, onions, and some herbs. We have a window ledge and the patio available, but I don't want to get my hopes too high about what might actually grow. Any tips? Thanks a bunch!

You can absolutely grow lettuce and herbs in vertical pots! I’ve successfully grown varieties like lollo rosso and lollo bianco in pots before, and there are definitely other options out there as well. Not sure about onions, though—maybe someone else can chime in on that!
Vertical planters are a great option! I use the Aldi stacking planters, which are pretty affordable. They work well for herbs—I just avoid mint because it can take over, haha! If you can find some, they're perfect for your patio. Definitely consider hanging planters for things like cherry tomatoes too, they adapt well!

Haha, I can see how mint could take over! Thanks for the advice on the planters!
