I'm working on my bathroom and using LevelQuik RS as a self-leveling underlayment before laying down LVP. I took the time to prep everything by sealing cracks and priming with LevelQuik Advanced Acrylic Primer. However, I made the questionable decision to mix in some leftover LevelQuik RS from a different project I did a year ago with new bags. Now I've noticed some pinholes and depressions where the old mix went in. It's only been a couple of hours since I poured it, so I'm planning to wait until it fully cures, but I'm curious: how worried should I be about repairing this, especially since it's right at the doorway where foot traffic will be?

I had a similar mishap once! I ended up taking everything out with a hammer drill and chisel. It was totally worth it for me, but I was concerned about how solid everything would be. The old stuff was going to cause more headaches down the line. So if you can access it easily, I’d recommend going for a clean slate, but if not, maybe just patch it up? It might help you sleep easier knowing it’s all good under there!
Honestly, I wouldn’t stress too much about those pinholes. As long as the underlayment is mostly solid, you should be okay laying down your LVP over it. Just make sure to keep an eye on those depressions. You can always use a quick-drying floor patch for those spots if it bothers you. Just a heads up, some people worry about them crumbling or causing the LVP to flex, but it’s usually not a big deal.
Yeah, pinholes don’t really pose a huge problem for LVP. I’d focus more on the depressions if they’re significant. If you’re worried, just grab some floor patch to even things out. It'll help prevent any weird movement or bounce later on. Also, are you using a roller for smoothness next time?
