Is Sherwin-Williams Pure White Too Much for a Home?

I'm curious about Sherwin-Williams Pure White as a paint choice for our walls. My mother-in-law has strong opinions about it being trendy and what everyone is choosing. However, I'm a bit hesitant because I don't want our home to feel like an insane asylum. Has anyone painted their home this color? If so, do you love it or regret it?

There are so many variations of white paint, it’s wild! We went with SW Simply White in our house and really enjoy it. It pairs well with warmer, earthy tones in our decor. If that’s your style, it might be worth considering!

Thanks, I'll get a sample made! And right? Who knew there could be so many whites?!

I think Pure White is a bit much for a whole house. I've used Alabaster White throughout my home, and it feels a lot more inviting. Pure White might just feel too sterile, like a hospital.

Thanks a lot for your input!

Totally agree, Alabaster seems like a warmer choice compared to Pure White.

I haven't used Pure White myself, but I feel like it might not always look the way people hope. Cream shades tend to give a cozier vibe. Just my two cents!

Thanks for your quick answer! Do you think it comes off too bright?
