I've been using a DeWalt 20V Atomic drill and impact kit for a few years now, and while I've generally liked it, the drill chuck has started to slip, which makes me think it's time for a replacement. I'm considering keeping the Atomic for lighter tasks but want to know if anyone has suggestions for a more heavy-duty model, possibly from the XR line, while staying loyal to DeWalt. Any thoughts?

If your drill is less than three years old, definitely check if it's under warranty! DeWalt might fix it for you at no cost. I had a similar issue, and they covered the shipping both ways for my drill repair.
I recently picked up the DCD999 and I’m really happy with it. It's been great for all my home projects!
I own both the DCD794 for lighter jobs and the DCD1007 for tougher tasks. If you’re looking for something solid, I’d recommend going for either the DCD999 or DCD1007!
