Why Does My Kitchen Left Drain Keep Clogging?

Hi everyone! I've been having an issue with my kitchen sink, specifically the left drain, which keeps clogging up. The right drain works perfectly fine. I also noticed a dip in the pipes that seems unnecessary. Could that be contributing to the clogs? Would love your insights!

That dip in the pipes is a P-trap, and it's actually important because it prevents sewer gases from coming into your kitchen. Definitely don't remove it! Check the pipes going to the left drain for any blockages, as that might be the root of your issue.

As mentioned by others, don't mess with the P-trap. If that was the problem, both drains would be clogged. Instead, disassemble the pipes from the left sink and see if there's anything stuck inside. Make sure the pipe has a slight downward slope too.

You might want to check the "T" where the left pipe enters; it can have a baffle that directs the water down to the P-trap. Sometimes those can get clogged. Removing that pipe and checking for blockages could help a lot!
