I built my home in Wisconsin back in 2021, and I've already noticed hairline cracks in the ceiling. After getting two of them repaired, I recently discovered another one. Is this a normal issue in new construction, or could it mean that my drywaller didn't do a great job? Also, while I understand the usual advice to fix what bothers me, I'm curious: would you keep getting these fixed?

Yeah, it’s not unusual for a house to develop some cracks while it settles. Usually, it's just a cosmetic issue and doesn't mean there was a big problem during the drywalling process.
It's actually pretty common to see hairline cracks in new homes, especially during the first few years. Houses settle over time, and those Wisconsin winters can definitely add to it. I’d suggest fixing the noticeable cracks but don’t sweat the tiny hairlines unless they’re growing or you’re planning to sell.
Totally normal! Even the slightest earth movements can cause houses to shift a bit, leading to cracks. Just keep an eye on them and only address the ones that really bother you.
