I recently got a new 3/8 stubby impact wrench and I currently own a 1/2 mid torque model. I've noticed that there's a sale on the high torque model at HD, bringing its price down to around $200, which makes me think about upgrading. I'm considering selling my mid torque since its power is so similar to the stubby. Would upgrading to the high torque be worth it, or should I stick with my current setup?

I have both the gen 2 and mid torque, and I debated switching to the high torque. In my situation, I don't really need the extra power since if I ever do, I can just use my air impact. But if you're doing heavy-duty work like suspension bolts, the high torque could definitely be beneficial.
Sounds like you've got a good plan in mind! You could likely sell the mid torque for about $100-120 on eBay or a marketplace. It seems like a solid investment to move up to the high torque, especially if those extra uggas are something you might need.
Honestly, I kind of wish I still had the mid torque. I have the gen 2 stubby and gen 3 high torque, but I've found that the mid torque has enough power to do certain jobs where the high torque's size makes it tricky to maneuver. For example, I struggled to reach the upper control arm with the high torque even though it has a maximum of 1600 ft-lbs. The mid torque might be the sweet spot for some tighter spaces.

Thanks for the encouragement!
