I'm making twelve drawer boxes for my closet organizers, which are made out of maple and finished with oil-based polyurethane. I've already tried spraying lacquer and wiping on poly, but I'm looking for a simpler and faster finish than dealing with poly or setting up my spray booth for lacquer. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Water-based wipe-on poly is a fantastic option! It's quick, really easy to apply, and has low VOCs, making it a safer choice for indoor projects. It dries fast, so you can get back to your project right away!
Have you considered Fiddes Hardwax Oil? It’s my go-to for a fast finish. Just one coat—wipe on, wipe off, and buff it out! Quick and easy!
Have you tried Osmo Polyx Oil? It's super user-friendly—just sand to 240 grit, wipe it on, and then wipe off the excess. It dries pretty quick, around 8 hours, and that little tin lasts a long time! I usually go for the satin finish, which looks nice and is relatively matte compared to traditional urethane finishes. Plus, if you ever have to do touch-ups, you won’t need to resand the whole piece, which is a huge time-saver!
If you don't mind a bit of spray, lacquer is a great route. It dries super fast! I just take my stuff outdoors to spray, or open the garage and use fans to ventilate. I’ve also been liking Danish oil lately—while it takes a little longer, it’s easy to apply and brings out the beauty in wood really well.
