So, I'm chilling in the living room when my grandma strolls in looking a bit sheepish. She confesses that she put some Drano in the dishwasher because it wasn't draining properly, and now there's water and soap suds all over the floor! I went to check it out, and sure enough, the dishwasher is showing an AE error. I'm stumped on what to do next! I've read on YouTube that I might need to flip the breaker, pull the dishwasher out, unplug it, and dry the float switch. Anyone have experience with this?

Quick tip: Some dishwashers are hardwired into the house, while others just plug into an outlet. If yours is the latter, you might not even need to flip the breaker! Make sure to remove any mounting screws before pulling it out, and good luck!
Glad to hear it wasn't too bad! I just pulled my dishwasher out and tipped it to let out the excess water, and now it’s working perfectly! Just take your time and be careful while cleaning up the mess.

Pulling it out now, wish me luck!
