Is Peel and Stick Vinyl Flooring a Good Option for Kitchen Cabinets and Countertops?

Hey everyone! I just bought a condo and I'm looking to do some budget-friendly renovations in the kitchen before renting it out. I came across peel and stick vinyl flooring at Home Depot and thought it might look nice on both my kitchen cabinets and countertops. I'm curious to know if you think this is a good idea? Are there any durable brands you'd recommend? Also, what kind of adhesive does it typically come with, and should I consider getting a stronger adhesive? Lastly, how does this option stack up against using contact paper for countertops? Here's a pic of my current kitchen setup: https://i.imgur.com/YMMVMtO.jpeg. I'm also planning to update the light fixture and add a backsplash. Thanks!

I think that kitchen is actually pretty great for a rental! You mentioned peel and stick flooring; it should work for cabinets, but I’d be cautious about using it on the countertop since it might not hold up over time. I've seen Formica laminate as a more durable option for countertops in rentals.

I've seen peel and stick used mostly as backsplashes above countertops, but not really on counters themselves. It's fine for cabinets for sure, but I recommend being careful if you're thinking about contact paper as an alternative—it can be tricky to apply and hold up.

Interesting! So, what do you think about the durability of contact paper for countertops and cabinets?
