Hey everyone! I've got a couple of free tools: two impacts and one drill. The drill's switch assembly is toast, and I'm thinking about swapping it out for a hammer gearbox since the drill doesn't have one right now. Do you think the gearbox will fit, or would I need a different motor? Sorry if my English isn't perfect. I don't remember the model, but I need the Milwaukee switch assembly (1)-4931436142. I've already ordered it, but I'd love to know if the hammer gearbox will work! Thanks for any help!

Yeah, I agree with ToolBuff101. If the drill was made for drilling only, the gearbox might not fit without some modifications. I’d also recommend looking up any videos or guides specific to your drill model—it could save you some headaches!
It sounds like you've got a fun project ahead! Typically, when you're looking to swap a switch assembly for a hammer gearbox, you do need to check compatibility with the motor. If the drill isn't originally designed for a hammer function, you might run into issues with fitting. I'd suggest checking the specs of both the gearbox and the drill motor.
