Can I Use Any Charger for My DeWalt 20V Batteries?

Hey everyone, I'm new to the DeWalt tool family, so bear with me! I've just picked up three DeWalt tools, and along with them, I got a 5ah and a 2ah battery, each with their own charger. I've heard that the 20V batteries work with any tools in the same line, but what I'm really curious about is whether I can charge these batteries with any charger. Do they require specific charging stations, or will any DeWalt charger do? Thanks for your help!

You're good to go with any charger! All DeWalt chargers support their 12V, 20V, and 60V batteries, so there isn't a specific charger you need to use. And remember, while you can use 20V and 60V batteries in 20V tools, the 60V ones won't make your tool run faster, just longer. Just steer clear of trying to fit a 20V battery into a 60V tool—they just won't work together.

You're spot on! You can charge your 20V batteries with any DeWalt charger, and they should work with any of the 20V tools. Just a heads-up, though: some tools that draw a lot of power, like grinders or circular saws, might not perform as well with the smaller 2ah battery. But no worries, you won’t damage anything—just keep in mind that the larger batteries work better for high-demand tools.

+1 to this! If the battery fits, it’ll charge. All DeWalt chargers since the 18V days are compatible. Just remember, the FlexVolt tools need 60V batteries, but most of the time, your 20V batteries will work just fine!
