Dealing with a Persistent Concrete Crack – Need Permanent Solutions!

I've been struggling with this stubborn concrete crack for at least five years, and I've yet to find a long-term solution. Every few months, despite repairs done under warranty, the crack returns. The contractors don't honor their warranties, so I'm left to fix this repeatedly. The issue may be related to some movement since it's on a hillside and next to a driveway, but I feel like there must be a specific product designed to handle this situation. Could something like a rubbery cement work? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If the cracking is just from the driveway and not serious ground shifting, maybe look into specialty concrete products. Rubberized cement could be helpful, but finding the right type that can accommodate slight movements would be key. It's important to get the right kind of repair product that's designed for flexible applications, given the location next to the driveway.

It sounds like the ground movement is really messing with things, causing the cracks to appear. If the land is shifting, that could definitely be the reason for the recurring issues. You might want to consider reaching out to a geotechnical engineer who can assess the land stability first. Then, consulting with a structural engineer to address the house could be crucial too, especially if it involves carbon fiber strapping for potential reinforcement.
