Why Am I Getting Roller Marks with Sherwin Williams Cashmere Paint?

I've been painting for a while and recently switched to Sherwin Williams Cashmere paint in eggshell/satin. I'm experiencing some frustrating roller marks after painting, and I can't figure out if it's the paint itself or the roller I'm using that's causing this issue. I painted a deep pink dining room with it and had to do four coats just to avoid visible streaks. I typically use Behr paint and have never encountered these problems before. I just did a small section of my hallway, and the same issue has come up again. Does anyone have tips on how to avoid these marks or thoughts on whether the pigment might be the culprit?

I totally get where you're coming from; I had a similar experience with the Cashmere line. Have you considered the type of roller you're using? I've started using the Emerald paint with Purdy Marathon rollers, even after some jokes from the community about it, but seriously, I see a lot fewer streaks now.

That gives me some hope! I currently have the 'pro grade' rollers from Home Depot—not a name brand, alas. But hearing you had success with Emerald makes me want to give it a shot on the next coat.

You might want to invest in some quality professional rollers. The store brands usually don't cut it when it comes to getting a smooth finish.

I hear you, but I've never had this issue before with my gear. I just painted a room with leftover Behr and had no streaks at all. This Cashmere stuff is tripping me up!
